| Mr. Clark G. Waite -detail This section from the portrait painting of Mr. Waite shows the detail where he is portrayed as the captain of the USS Constitution. I found a period painting of Samuel Nicholson, first captain of the celebrated ship, then replicated the painting as a background piece, having replaced the features of Captain Nicholson by those of Mr. Waite. It was a fun piece of work which I'm sure got a good laugh! |
